Their award-winning building, Eco-Machine, community organizing, and innovative educational programs offer visitors and students a path toward a sustainable, just, resilient, and regenerative future. Dutchess Land Conservancy is a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to preserving the rural character, important resources and open lands of Dutchess County, New York. They encourage sound, well-planned growth balanced with the conservation of natural resources and working landscapes to ensure healthy and vibrant communities for the benefit of all generations.

Founded in 1876, the Appalachian Mountain Club promotes the protection, enjoyment, and understanding of the mountains, forests, waters, and trails of America’s Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. The mission of the Appalachian Mountain Club is to foster the protection, enjoyment, and understanding of the outdoors.
